As part of the DRiSC Coalition, FDAC and its partners have been busy working with the Conference Committee on Wildfire Preparedness and Response to address a number of concerns. The good news is DRiSC was successful in getting our pre-positioining language, among other points important to public safety, into the Conference Committee’s report. Now we are on the push to get the Legislature to pass SB 901 and send it off to the Governor Brown for his signature. Time is short. The Legislature must take action on SB 901 no later than Friday, August 31, 2018 at midnight, close of session. FDAC is asking all members to send a letter of support on SB 901 immediately to their Assembly Members and State Senators. A template letter is provided.

Please send copies of your letters to FDAC Executive Director Catherine Smith at or email her that you have sent the letters.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this call to action.  Support the passage of SB 901!
